1. Definitions

Debuver is owned by Debuver Pte Ltd. (referred to as “I”, “Me”, “Our” or “We”). As a customer of this service you’re a “User” or “You” according to this agreement. The App or any services offered by us will be referred to as “Debuver”, “Debuver App” or “Service”. External services like WhatsApp, WeChat, Line, Viber … will be referred to as Applications “External Provider” or “External Service”.

 

  1. Your Data

External Services

Unlike the impression, Debuver is very close to a web browser and does not need direct access to external service API’s. That means Debuver does not store any of your external service login credentials on your computer or on a cloud service. The only data that is stored are cookies and the browser cache – exactly as it is when using a web browser like Safari or Chrome.

 

If you explicitly opt in to synchronize your session data (session data usually does not contain any passwords) with your other computers, we will encrypt your credentials, using high security industry standards, and store them as long as necessary on our servers. The encryption of your data will happen on your computer. We will never have access to plain text credentials.

 

Debuver does not store your password nor does it directly access your messaging service’s account!

 

Debuver Account

In order to save your configuration and provide features like settings synchronization or the Debuver Membership plans and Payout, we require to store some data about you.

 

This data contains the following personal information:

 

  1. Data Portability

You can request an archive of the data we have stored about you. To file for such a request please login to your account here and submit a data export request.

 

  1. Account Termination

You have the option to delete your personal data. To do so, please login here and submit an account termination request.

 

Data Retention

If you haven’t logged in to your Debuver account within 550 days, we will automatically delete your account and all associated data.

 

  1. 3rd Party Services

In order to provide certain features we rely on 3rd party services.

 

PayPal

If you decide to upgrade your account to a Debuver Paid Membership Account or withdraw your Referral Earning, your name and email address will be transmitted to our payment provider PayPal. Details about how PayPal handles and secures your data can be found in the PayPal Privacy Statement.

 

Inmotion Hosting

To provide support, we are using Inmotion Hosting. All emails to support@debuver.com will be processed by this service. Details about how Inmotion Hosting handle and secures your data can be found in the Inmotion Hosting.

 

Google Analytics

We do not track how you interact with any of the provided services.

 

However, in order to build a better image of how our users are interacting with Debuver and the Debuver Website, we use Google Analytics to track how people work with Debuver and what services are being used. We do not transmit personal data to Google Analytics.

If you wish to access, update/correct or request deletion of your personal data, you can do so here or by contacting us.

 

You can always object to processing the of your personal data, please ask us to restrict processing of your personal data or request a data export. Again, you can do so here or by contacting us.

You have the right to complain to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your personal data. For more information, please contact your local data protection authority.

We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time without prior notice. Please review this document especially before you provide any information. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date indicated below. Your continued use of the Services after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy.
